At the 97th Academy Awards held on March 2, 2025, Adrien Brody secured his second Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of László Tóth in "The Brutalist." This win comes 22 years after his first Oscar for "The Pianist," making him the youngest actor to win two Best Actor Oscars.

"The Brutalist," directed by Brady Corbet, spans three decades, chronicling the life of Hungarian architect László Tóth as he escapes the Holocaust and pursues the American Dream. Brody's performance has been lauded for its depth and authenticity, capturing Tóth's resilience and artistic vision.

During his acceptance speech, Brody reflected on the importance of remembering past traumas and combating antisemitism and racism. He expressed gratitude towards his partner, Georgina Chapman, acknowledging her unwavering support. Notably, his speech lasted 5 minutes and 40 seconds, setting a new record for the longest in Oscar history.

The ceremony also celebrated the success of "Anora," a low-budget comedy that won five awards, including Best Picture and Best Actress for Mikey Madison. Hosted by Conan O'Brien, the event highlighted the achievements of smaller-budget films, emphasizing the evolving landscape of the film industry.
