Fetty Wap’s “Again” Makes Comeback

In early 2025, a unique TikTok trend has propelled rapper Fetty Wap back into the limelight. Users are humorously integrating his 2015 hit "Again" into various historical and fictional scenarios, imagining how characters might react to the song blasting from a JBL speaker.

The trend began in January 2025 when TikTok user @purelyaesthetic11 posted a slideshow featuring historical illustrations accompanied by "Again." The caption read: "How do you think the pilgrims would react if I pulled up to the Mayflower with my JBL speaker and introduced them to Fetty Wap." This video garnered over 3.2 million views, sparking a wave of similar content. 

As the trend gained momentum, creators expanded its reach by editing "Again" into scenes from popular films. For instance, a clip from "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" shows the Weasley brothers rescuing Harry while the song plays, amassing over 11 million views. 

This resurgence has had a tangible impact on Fetty Wap's career. "Again" re-entered the Billboard Hot 100 in February 2025, nearly a decade after its initial release, and secured the number one spot on the TikTok Billboard Top 50 chart.
