Swingman Jaylen Brown, a two-time NBA all-star, and the Boston Celtics have reached an agreement on a five-year, $304 million supermax deal extension, according to his agency on Tuesday.
The guard/forward Brown had a career-best scoring average of 26.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game last year.
The 26-year-old was selected for the NBA Second Team for 2022–23. Brown, the third-overall pick in 2016, qualified for the new deal due to his inclusion on the All-NBA squad.
Brown spent seven seasons with Boston, during which time the Celtics made it to five Eastern Conference Finals and the 2022 NBA Finals.
According to ESPN, the contract extension will last until Brown is 32 in the 2028–2029 season and will start in the 2024–2025 season.
